Hey beauties, today I have a mini review from my bestie on a treatment she had done recently, she was so impressed she asked me to a little post on it for you. If you would like to check her out, you can find her on youtube and Instagram @LeilaReign.

The Review

“My hair was brittle and very damaged. I actually didn’t want to brush it anymore because it started falling out in clumps.
I called my hairdresser because this situation was becoming quite dire. My usual tresses were looking like crap.”
She recommended that I try the ‘Silk Degrees Smoothing Shine Treatment’.
This particular treatment is recommended for dry, brittle, damaged and lifeless hair and it also stops hair loss.

According to my hairdresser, this product was developed by ‘Pravana’ as a more affordable version to the ‘Brazillian’.
Now, I’ve had a Brazilian done before and although my hair was straight, I wasn’t very impressed with the results, it smelt funny and there wasn’t any real improvement.

The process:

1. Wash hair with a clarifying shampoo
2. Apply the product by dividing the hair into equal sections. Ensure that the hair is completely covered.
3. Once the application is completed, wrap the hair in cling wrap (like a turban) and sit under a dryer for about 20 min.
4. Rinse the product out and then style as normal (she recommended first blowdrying and then ironing the hair).
5. Do not wash the hair for at least a week so that the product can take full effect.

The Results:

My hair looks and feels amazing, like silk. I’ve had no breakages or fallout.

I would truly recommend this product, as you can see by the before and after pictures, there is a major improvement.

After Care :

Use Shampoo and Conditioner that does not contain parabens or sulphates

My hair is still shiny. (2 Weeks later)
The scalp doesn’t itch as much.
The hair fallout is at an acceptable rate.
Generally, it feels better

Price: R500
