Ramadhan Mubarak

Hello / Asalaam Alaikum / Salaam

I Know this is a beauty blog, but I am also a Muslim, not just a beauty nut lol! Anyway wanted to wish everyone, Ramadhan Mubarak!

Honestly, I have such a hard time fasting because I have low blood sugar and I am anaemic, I also suffer from severe migraines, it’s rough!

None the less I received a what’s app message the other day with some very helpful tips on what to be eating.

Please feel free to share with everyone and for those of you who would like to try dry fasting, you can use these too…

Ramadhan Mubarak

Here are a few definitions for you :

Suhoor / Sehri

This is basically breakfast for the next 30 days, there are specific times allocated for us to eat each day and this is the first meal of the day. Of course, if you are not Muslim and just want to dry fast, this would be breakfast to you (Whenever that is).

Iftaar

This is dinner time, again for us it is specific to the sun setting but if you are just following along this for you would be dinner time, whenever that is.

We do not eat or drink anything during the course of the day, so unless you don’t have any major illnesses, you are welcome to join us. If you do however need medications and follow specific diets please consult your doctor before starving yourself.

Please leave me some of your tips in the comments so we may all have an easy month ahead, Insha-Allah!

So Ramadhan Mubarak to all my fellow Muslims and your families.

Side note: On Twitter I am doing 30 days of gratitude, feel free to join in, you can find me @scarletpiper1 (or check the sidebar 😉
